 Angelique Kpessaloko Hinto Houinou Kanjo Manta Zobin Kidjo, well know as Angelique Kidjo a multiple award winning  song writer, singer and performer from Benin.She is a diverse musical figure who has influenced generations.Her hard work and creativity took African music world wide.

Some of Angelique's hit songs include AGOLO, MALAIKA, WOMBO LOMBO and many more.Her genre of music are Afro-pop, Afro-beat, Reggae,Jazz, Gospel, World fusion, World beat and Latin.

Angelique grew up listening to traditional African music from icons like Fela Kuti, Miriam Makeba ,Hugh Masekela and our own Osibisa from Ghana.

She was featured on BBC as African Continent's 50 most 'ICONIC' figures,
The Guardian listed her as one of it's top 100 most inspiring woman.
Kidjo was the first African woman to be mentioned among 'The 40 most powerful' celebrities in Africa by FORBES magazine  and so on..

THE MO IBRAHIM FOUNDATION FREE CONCERT

I had the chance to witness the great Angeligue Kidjo at the Mo Ibrahim concert at the Accra Sports Stadium on the 21st of November . I realized  that the living legend, the premier Diva of Africa, still'GOT IT'.She moved the whole crowd with an outstanding and energetic performance .

 Stonebwoy and Sarkodie  were supporting acts from Ghana and the great Youssou N'Dour from Senegal.

 This concert caused massive traffic in Accra.
